DOGE Community’s Optimism for DOGE Payments on X Remains Strong

In a recent tweet, the popular MyDoge crypto wallet account conducted a survey asking the DOGE community about their optimism regarding DOGE payments on X. The question posed was, “Do you think 핏 should support Dogecoin payments someday?” Judging by the wave of positive and enthusiastic responses, the DOGE army remains hopeful that their favorite meme cryptocurrency will eventually be supported for tipping and micro-payments on the social media giant X.

This year, Elon Musk obtained licenses in new U.S. states, allowing him to introduce the X Payments feature. X Insider “DogeDesigner” has repeatedly stated that payments will be launched on the platform by the end of the year. The states where licenses were acquired include Illinois, Oregon, and New Mexico. This likely fuels the DOGE army’s optimism about potential DOGE integration on X in the near future. Experts also speculate that cryptocurrencies could become the primary, if not the sole, payment option on X.

Elon Musk’s Affection for Dogecoin

Elon Musk is a well-known fan of Dogecoin and has frequently tweeted about it over the past seven years. In 2021, Musk’s tweet about being “The DogeFather” and his subsequent endorsement of DOGE on Saturday Night Live propelled the meme cryptocurrency to an all-time high of $0.7376 on May 8, 2021.

Despite DOGE now trading 83.15% below that historic peak at $0.1243, it remains among the top ten cryptocurrencies, according to CoinMarketCap. Recently, Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, speculated that Musk might own around 20% of the total DOGE supply, suggesting the tech billionaire has a significant stake in the meme coin.
